20 Of The Dumbest Reasons People Didn't Get A Job But They Actually Dodged A Bullet
Sometimes, we don't understand what runs through employers' minds, and sometimes, we don't want to.
We all know that applying for a job is nerve-wracking. First, you have to put yourself out there.
You can't just wait for employers to come to you. No, you have to be the one knocking on their doorstep, trying to sell yourself in the best way possible.
Second, the competition is really tough. With all these free resources available nowadays, everyone can learn what you know, so you'll have more people to compete with, and there's always someone desperate enough to lowball their salary request.
Last but not least, you might never know why you didn't get a job. More often than not, you simply will never hear back from the company to which you applied.
Sometimes, you might receive a rejection email, but only months after you submitted your application. There are a few, however, who do find out why they were rejected, but we're not counting them as lucky.
That's because while feedback is helpful, there are times when the feedback is completely useless or even insulting. To find out what feedback was like that, Reddit user u/RustinSpencerCole asked Redditors to share the weirdest and wildest reasons they were turned down for a job, and boy, there are some stories out there.
Here are some of the best ones.

Sometimes, it's great to know why you didn't get a job. At least then, you can learn from that and use it to improve your application or upskill, so you can do better for other opportunities.
Sadly, there are also times when just receiving silence would be the best outcome. At least then, you could move on to the next opportunity without any heartache.
