Talented Artist Creates 20+ Paper Arts Depicting Disney Characters, and It's All the Dopamine You'll Need Today

Don't we just love our Disney characters?

Paper crafts have a way of feeling like pure magic, but this one is basically a dopamine vending machine. A talented artist has created 20+ paper arts featuring Disney characters, and the details are so crisp and expressive that you can almost hear the scenes playing in your head.

And it gets even better when you realize this was not just a random creative binge. The project stretched her craft in a new direction through children’s book publishing, where she debuted her first book, “Picky Panda.” Drawing a character in one pose is hard enough, but she had to redraw the same character in varying poses and expressions, keep everything consistent, and then crank out over 25 illustrations fast.

So when you look at each paper character, you’re not just seeing Disney, you’re seeing the payoff from a whole pile of hand-crafted work.

Before “Picky Panda” even entered the picture, the paper lineup already had iconic chaos covered, with Chip N’ Dale showing up again and again like the project’s unofficial hype crew.

Jackie talked about a project that really stretched her craft, saying:

"A recent project that has pushed my skills and craft in a new direction is children's book publishing. I recently debuted my first book, 'Picky Panda.' As an illustrator, I was used to drawing a character in a single pose, but for this project, I had to draw the same character in varying poses and expressions, all while ensuring the character looked consistent."

Then comes the complication, she had to keep characters consistent while shifting expressions and poses, which is a whole different game than making a single “perfect” moment.

"In addition to that, the book itself required over 25 different illustrations to be completed in a short time. Combined with additional freelance work and gallery art, it was the greatest amount of illustrating I had done in a given year! And remember, all of these were still crafted by hand too! Creating a children's book has felt like a synthesis of all the skills I've learned so far from film school and illustration—storytelling, pacing, editing, composition, color, design, and more. It's been an amazing experience, and I am looking forward to seeing where this path leads."

By the time Ursula, Aurora (Briar Rose), and Tiana join the mix, you can tell the hand-built style is doing the heavy lifting, especially when every illustration still had to be made by hand.

The illustrator's bit of advice as an educator is that there is no such thing as right or wrong when it comes to art. In her workshops, she's frequently asked, "Is this okay?" or "Is this correct?"

Although there may be a "faster" or "easier" way to do a task, there is no "right" way to make art, and what you create won't appeal to everyone. All that matters is that you're creating something that makes you happy.

One paper cut at a time, she turned a Disney obsession into a full-on, hand-crafted character marathon.
