This Artist Chose to Mash Up Disney Princess Dresses, and the Results Are Interesting

No offense intended!

A 28-year-old artist took a page right out of Disney’s fashion playbook, then ripped it up and stitched it back together in a way that actually tells a story. Instead of sticking to one princess per outfit, she swapped pieces like they were plot points, turning “who wore what” into “who would fit where.”

Her gallery is basically a costume domino chain: Ariel in Belle’s dress, Aurora with Ariel’s tail, Cinderella in Jasmine’s clothes, and even Mulan in Tiana’s dress. The fun part is how the combinations look familiar at first, then suddenly weirdly meaningful, like the character is stepping into someone else’s chapter.

By the time you reach the last swap, you realize the costumes are doing the storytelling for her.

Ariel showing up in Belle’s dress is the first little “wait, what” that makes you lean in.

When Aurora gets Ariel’s tail, the mash-up stops being random and starts feeling like a plot twist.

Cinderella in Jasmine’s clothes, then Mulan’s clothes right after, makes the whole lineup feel like one long costume swap scene.

By the time Jasmine rocks Ariel’s tail and Pocahontas ends up in Cinderella’s dress, you can’t ignore how much the outfits change the vibe.

What the artist is doing shows us how important costumes are in telling a story.

These princesses are still themselves, but the clothes are rewriting the ending.
