Disneyland’s hand-pulled candy canes return in 2026, with a wristband gate before you can buy one

Disneyland Resort’s hand-pulled candy canes go on sale on select dates from Nov. 27 to Dec. 25, 2026.

One of Disneyland Resort’s most talked-about holiday treats is coming back for 2026, and the sale plan is already set. Guests hoping to bring home one of the park’s hand-pulled candy canes will need to watch the calendar closely and get a wristband first.

The candy canes are back on select dates

Disneyland Resort will offer its hand-pulled candy canes on select days from November 27 through December 25, 2026, split between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure.

At Disneyland Park, the candy canes will be sold at Candy Palace & Candy Kitchen on November 27 and 30, and December 2, 7, 9, 14, 16, 21, 23, and 25. At Disney California Adventure, they will be available at Trolley Treats on November 28 and 29, and December 1, 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 22, and 24.

The treat has been a Disneyland tradition since 1968. According to the posted details, each candy cane takes about two hours to make. The candy makers start very early in the morning, and the room where the candy is prepared has to stay between 100 and 105 degrees so the cane can take shape properly.

What guests need to know before trying to buy one

The biggest catch is that you cannot simply walk up and purchase one without the required wristband. Guests must have a wristband in order to buy a candy cane.

Each wristband includes the date and a return time, which tells guests when to come back and wait in the physical line. Purchase must be made in person, and each guest with a wristband may buy only one candy cane per day.

Disney is also placing a few other limits on the release. Quantities are very limited, discounts cannot be used, and there are no exchanges or refunds. The candy canes also will not be offered through mobile order.

For Disneyland fans, that means the change takes effect with the first sale date on November 27, when the 2026 distribution schedule begins and the wristband process once again becomes part of the hunt.
