Florida Couple Arrested For Selling Drugs From A Drive-Thru Window In Their Mobile Home
Oh, Florida! It's truly America's weirdest state.
Some people get creative when they want to avoid attention, but this Florida couple took that idea to an extreme. What started as a hidden drug operation in Ocala ended up looking more like a makeshift business with a drive-thru window and posted hours. Investigators traced the drugs back to their mobile home, where the couple had reportedly turned a kitchen window into a handoff point for customers.
It did not stay under the radar for long, and the details only get stranger from there.
William Parrish Jr. and McKenzee Dobbs
Marion County Sheriff’s OfficeThe couple wanted to avoid regular customers coming in and out of their home, so they converted their kitchen window into a drive-thru.
Just like any legitimate business, the couple even posted official opening hours to inform people about their drug business hours.
That setup did not exactly blend in.
TwitterThe couple even laced their heroin with fentanyl:
“We were seeing some overdose incidents that were happening in this particular area, specifically at this particular location,” said Ocala Police Capt. Steven Cuppy. “There were some heroin sales that were going on there. Subsequently, through the investigation, we were able to determine that the product was laced with fentanyl.”
This is the kind of mix-up Ocala investigators would never want, like the restaurant that served children insect spray instead of cranberry juice.
Parrish and Dobbs were arrested and charged with multiple offenses. Twenty-year-old Dobbs was charged with the same offenses except for the DUI.
Now the couple is facing the fallout from a scheme that was never going to stay quiet for long.
