[AITA] Woman's Best Friend Freeloads On Her Boyfriend Then Dumps Him After Becoming A Lawyer
She dumped him because she deserves a "real man," not someone who helped her achieve her goals and dreams.
This is the story of Redditor RichSlummer and her best friend, who both grew up in poverty. Education was out of the question, and the only options they had were retail, drug dealing, prostitution, and/or hoping that a rich guy would sweep them off their feet.
While RichSlummer dated a med student and became a teacher in a school in a lower socioeconomic area, her friend wasn't as lucky. At the age of 25, she was working minimum wage in retail, while RichSlummer married her boyfriend, who went on to become a doctor.
It wasn't long before her friend started dating a 30-year-old factory worker who came to visit her every day. The guy she was dating knew school wasn't for him, but he saw potential in her and encouraged her to pursue her education.
She dreamed of becoming a criminal prosecutor, and he encouraged her to chase her dreams and not give up. Not only did he take out whatever loans he could, but he also helped her with housework, worked extra shifts, and did everything he possibly could to help her achieve her dreams of becoming a lawyer.
What happened next will make you clench your fists. We'll let Redditor RichSlummer explain the story.

This was the saddest post I've read today, and I thought I'd share it with you all. It's unfair for the guy who spent so much of his time and money on a girl who didn't value him in the first place.
He didn't want her to give up on her dreams of becoming a lawyer, so no matter how hard things became, he was determined to help her get there.
Since the guy took out loans to help her achieve her dreams, he's on the hook for repaying them. The woman he dated, who is now a lawyer because of him, has no intention of helping him repay the loans.
Although the guy has read all the comments and is thankful for all the support he's received, he's still heartbroken and deeply hurt. We can't blame him.
Anyone in his position would probably feel the same way, and it's just sad that such women exist. They're like vultures or vampires, who care for no one but themselves.
It's her loss because she dumped the only person who loved and cared for her. Knowing the kind of person she is, it's highly unlikely that she'll ever feel deeply loved again.
