I hope people never stop talking about these.
"Gender Reveal" parties have become a huge trend over the last decade, and each year they seem to reach new extremes with catastrophic consequences. In fact, one Arizona couple started a massive wildfire that caused $8 million in damages in 2017 for their baby's gender reveal! Of course, not all gender reveals are flashy enough to lead to explosions, fires, or serious injuries; most are pretty simple and basic, like popping a balloon to reveal colorful confetti or biting into a cake to unveil colorful frosting.
However, even at the less-flashy gender reveal parties that families are throwing, there is a serious cringe factor at play, and lately, people have been calling out the ridiculousness for what it is. It just so happens that these call-outs have been hilarious.
