Geri Halliwell-Horner Opens Up About Why She Wears White All The Time
Ginger Spice revealed the psychological inspiration behind her fashion choices.

You might not have noticed it right away, but Geri Halliwell-Horner has quietly developed a signature look that’s surprisingly consistent and very white. If you’ve seen her out and about in recent years, chances are she was dressed head-to-toe in white. Not cream. Not beige. Just… white. And she’s been sticking with it for about six years now.
This isn’t some fashion accident or stylist’s choice. Geri’s all-white wardrobe is entirely deliberate. She opened up about it on the latest episode of Table Manners, the popular podcast hosted by Jessie and Lennie Ware.
During the chat, the former Spice Girl - better known to many as Ginger Spice - explained the thinking behind her minimalist approach to getting dressed. For those who remember her Spice Girls heyday in the '90s, this might come as a surprise.
Back then, Geri was all about bold colors, statement outfits, and that unforgettable Union Jack dress that basically became her personal brand. She had bright red hair, a loud personality, and a wardrobe to match. But over the years, things have shifted.
"I went through a period when I was in my 20s wearing black all the time," Geri said on the podcast. "But I've gone through different theories."
One of those theories came from an unlikely place: tech moguls. "I looked at a lot of guys, and they always wear the same thing," she continued. "Whether it's Steve Jobs or Facebook guy [Mark Zuckerberg], you know, they all wear the same thing, like a uniform."
The mother of three spoke about her reasons for the decision.
It’s not just about looking sleek or making a statement, though. For Geri, it’s also about keeping her life a bit simpler. "I thought, well, actually, how much time do you use getting ready?" she added. "That was one thing, and everything matches. It keeps things simple."
There’s something kind of refreshing about that approach. She’s taken a page out of the Silicon Valley playbook, but given it a soft, feminine twist. No black turtlenecks or gray hoodies, just clean lines, all white, all the time.

But Geri didn’t just talk fashion. She also opened up a bit about her personal life, especially her role as a mum and how she spent Mother’s Day.
Geri is a mum to two kids: her daughter Bluebell Madonna, who was born in 2006, and her son Montague George Hector, who was born in 2017.
Bluebell’s dad is screenwriter Sacha Gervasi, while Montague is her son with husband Christian Horner, the head of Red Bull Racing. Geri also helps raise Christian’s daughter, Olivia, from his previous relationship.
The star previously garnered attention for sporting a Union Jack dress.
While chatting with Jessie and Lennie, Geri shared a bit about what her Mother’s Day weekend looked like, and it turns out Bluebell is quite the little chef.
"Bluebell really likes cooking," she said proudly. "She cooked last night for us. She cooked Chinese chicken. She’ll do anything." And it’s not just a one-off gesture. Bluebell cooked for Valentine’s Day too. "She cooked me steak the other day for Valentine’s. Rather than going out, she cooked for me and my husband." That kind of thing hits differently for a parent. “That’s mother’s pride, isn’t it?” Geri said, clearly touched.

So while Geri Halliwell-Horner might not be on stage in glitter and platform boots anymore, she’s still managing to keep things interesting, just in her own low-key, slightly unconventional way. From simplifying her wardrobe with a splash of white to raising a thoughtful, steak-cooking teen, she’s doing life on her own terms.
And if you spot someone walking down the street dressed entirely in white, don’t be too quick to assume it’s a bride. It might just be Ginger Spice, keeping things simple.
