Artist Brings To Life Powerful Harry Potter Scenes We All Wish Were In The Movies
Florida comic artist Katie Knudson brings to life heartfelt and powerful Harry Potter scenes that weren't in the movies but should have been.
Some Harry Potter scenes were so good on the page that fans still wish the movies had found room for them. Even though the films captured a lot of the magic, plenty of emotional moments, character beats, and small details never made it to the screen.
That gap is exactly what Florida-based comic artist Katie Knudson has been filling with her artwork. She has been drawing the deleted and forgotten Harry Potter moments fans still talk about, including the Luna scene that first inspired her to start.
Now her illustrations are giving readers a fresh way to revisit the parts of Hogwarts that never got their movie moment.
Oh Luna. She was always the sweetest.
Luna was always the sweetest person in the series. She constantly reminded them of how precious they all were to each other as friends.

This scene with Neville's parents and their story
Honestly, it would have broken us to see this scene in the films. Thinking of what Neville went through and what he had to endure at school just hurts.
It shows how strong and brave Neville really is, despite everything.
loquaciousliterature
Nobody knew the full extent of Neville's pain
loquaciousliterature
Seeing it in person would have been heartbreaking
loquaciousliterature
To some extent, his parents still know Neville
loquaciousliterature
But it's just not the same
loquaciousliterature
Still, Neville cherishes whatever he has with them

That one would have landed hard on screen.
The look on Umbridge's face onscreen would have been one incredibly satisfying sight to see
Seriously, this would have been one kick-ass scene to see. We would have loved to see Mama McGonagall chewing Umbridge to pieces while defending Harry.
This woman has been freaking amazing, and we honestly wouldn't mind her having her own movie, you know.
loquaciousliterature
Nobody dares interrupt McGonagall
loquaciousliterature
Umbridge is just making it easy for McGonagall to obliterate her
loquaciousliterature
Umbridge just can't win
loquaciousliterature
McGonagall really does not miss.
It would have been priceless to see that look of disdain onscreen

Luna’s “it’s all about the people” vibe also shows up in the AITA fight over declining to adopt a best friend’s dog after a plea.
Umbridge just won't stop

Nothing can stop Mama McGonagall, though

When Harry invited Luna to Slughorn's party
Oh, precious Luna. She really deserves everything. This is one of the scenes, though, that makes us appreciate Harry a bit more.
Although he thought she was odd at first, he treated her kindly and with respect. Just seeing her face brighten up at his invitation would have made our day.

Poor Hermione

Luna is honestly the sweetest friend
loquaciousliterature
She cares for her friends
loquaciousliterature
She can be pretty spot on

Sometimes people don't know how to deal with her insight, though

Luna always brings the sweetest kind of chaos.
Oh Luna
loquaciousliterature
It's her first time being invited to a party

That look of joy is priceless

This is the ultimate kiss moment we've all actually been dying to see
This is especially sweet because all his life, Ron thought having house elves as slaves was normal. He even laughed at Hermione the first time she thought of petitioning for the house elves' freedom. This moment just shows how much he cares for and respects Hermione's goals and wishes.
loquaciousliterature
This part was a real shocker
loquaciousliterature
It was pretty sweet, though
loquaciousliterature
Oh dear Ron, how he's changed
loquaciousliterature
This kiss is a pretty 'aaww' moment too
loquaciousliterature
True love's kiss
loquaciousliterature
Yes, dear Harry, it is
loquaciousliterature
The boy who lived is right, though
loquaciousliterature
But might as well, right?

It makes us sad to remember that these heartfelt and powerful scenes were omitted from the films. Seeing these onscreen would have hit so much harder.
Alas, though, we can’t get everything we want from the studios, so we’ll have to make our own way to commemorate those wonderful books. Are there other scenes you wished could have been in the films?
Some scenes just deserved better.
