Harry Potter Tweets So Funny They Must Be From Fred and George’s Joke Shop
Dear internet, as Ron once said, "You're a little scary sometimes, you know that? Brilliant... but scary."
J.K. Rowling started building the Harry Potter universe in 1990, and it has grown into books, films, plays, websites, theme parks, and a huge amount of fan-made content along the way.
Some of that fan work is clever, some of it is affectionate, and some of it is so funny it feels like it could have come straight from Fred and George’s joke shop. These Harry Potter tweets fall squarely into that last category, and they are very hard to top.
They are ridiculous in the best possible way.
Arthur Weasley: What did he say?
Brutal, but technically not wrong.
It's true, and you all know it.
The jokes only get sharper from here.
I'm not sure we saw the same movie.
Didn't someone make a web series about that?
Wow. Just... wow.
I know we saw the same movie.
No idea where this is, but I want in.
That one lands a little too well.
I guess it does. I never thought about the politics of Harry Potter, but this seems spot on.
I mean, I guess. If you really want to downplay the series like that.
HAHAHA! Likewise, I have no words. This is golden.
Someone needs to rewrite the series based on these titles.
This is the version we all wanted.
Fans clearly know exactly how to push the joke even further.
And if you’re laughing at Arthur Weasley tweets, the Scary Movie 6 trailer fans calling it “the most outrageous and funny film of the decade” fits right in.
I wish I couldn't relate to this.
Need!
Too true. Too real.
He was. I'm guessing he never heard of picking on someone his own size... or age.
Definitely the correct response to that.
And yes, the fandom absolutely went there.
Stop messing with your own continuity, J.K.!
Truer words have never been spoken and will never be spoken.
These are truly the words of the entire fandom.
McGonagall - the OG badass.
Restraint. Hermione had none, and now an entire generation has this quote stuck in their heads.
Harry Potter fandom has never been short on opinions, and these tweets prove it.
