Man Feels Trapped As His Wife’s Friend Overstays Her Welcome And Refuses to Leave

Sometimes, you can't help but wonder how come good people are always exploited. Even though the old proverb "Treat others as you would like to be treated" is taught to everyone, some people act in the opposite manner.

Whether it's an act of disrespect, manipulation, or exploitation, it's just unfair to take advantage of someone's kindness. It's just sad that some people would play on one's emotions to get what they want when they know you have a good heart.

It's said that kindness can sometimes be taken for weakness, but the OP of today's story has had enough. The OP has a wife, and one of her close friends got dumped by her boyfriend, and he kicked her out.

She couldn’t go to her mom's, and OP's wife, being very kind, invited her to stay with them. This accommodation was supposed to be temporary, just until she figured things out, but it stretched into months.

OP and his wife both work from home, and this friend stays in their living room. They do meetings from the kitchen on a stool because they don’t want to wake her up.

Still, this friend almost never does dishes or cleans, and when she does, it’s half done. It got to a point where the OP was already tired of it all, and he had to pop the question—when are you leaving?
