Artist Turns Disney Princesses Into Horror Movie Villains, and It Will Probably Ruin Your Childhood
I never thought I'd see Pocahontas as Jason Voorhees.
Disney princesses usually live in a world of sparkle, songs, and happy endings, but this artist took them somewhere much darker. Maya Angelou's horror-inspired series reimagines familiar characters as some of the most iconic villains and monsters from classic scary movies.
The result is equal parts clever and unsettling, with each illustration blending Disney's soft, recognizable style with horror imagery that hits fast. Some of these pairings are so on point they feel inevitable, and others are just wild enough to make you do a double take.
Either way, this is one childhood crossover that refuses to be forgotten.
