Jason Momoa Gives Chris Pratt A Piece Of His Mind In This "Disposable Water Bottle" Drama
"No single-use plastic. Come on."
Jason Momoa just turned a simple “workout essentials” Instagram moment into full-on Aquaman level drama, and it all started with a disposable plastic water bottle. Chris Pratt posted a sponsored Amazon plug showing the items he uses to stay active, and for a second it looked like the most harmless content in the world.
Then Momoa saw that single-use bottle and decided Pratt needed a reality check, basically telling him to stop shaming the planet with plastic. Pratt apologized, doubled down on his reusable gallon jug in the most “oops” way possible, and even threw in a “Reduce. Reuse. Recycle” message for the kids.
But the plot twist is, Momoa’s own canned water brand, Mananalu, was part of the mix too, so now nobody knows if it was a misunderstanding, a stunt, or both.
In Chris Pratt's new post about "teaming up with @amazon to show his followers the items he uses for his workouts, staying active, and all that fun stuff to get ready for 2020," he appears to be very relaxed, holding a single-use plastic water bottle.
Momoa said:
InstagramPratt’s Amazon-sponsored workout post looked totally normal until Momoa clocked that disposable bottle and made it everybody’s business.
Pratt tried to smooth it over by claiming he always carries his reusable jug, then acted like plastic was the real villain in the story.
Pratt apologized for his post, which was a bit embarrassing since it was a sponsored content post advertising Amazon.
Pratt wrote in response, "Aquaman! You’re completely right. Dammit. I always carry my big gallon-size reusable water jug with me too. I even had it that day!!!" "Love you too, buddy." Then he went on to say, "My bad. I don’t want your home of Atlantis covered in plastic. Hear that, kids? Reduce. Reuse. Recycle."It also echoes the friend who overspent on vacation and sparked a fight over splitting the bill.
This then prompted Momoa to apologize for shaming Pratt.
He wrote, 'BRO, you know my children and I are madly in love with you, and I love everything you do. I’m sorry this was received so badly today; I didn’t mean for that to happen. I’m just very passionate about this single-use plastic epidemic. The plastic water bottles have to stop. I hope you make a reusable water bottle for Amazon so we all can purchase it.You’re an inspiration to many; I’m one of them. I’ll send you a case of MANANALU.'Bro...
InstagramMomoa apologized back, calling Pratt a loved one while still going hard on the “single-use plastic epidemic,” and yes, he mentioned sending a case of Mananalu.
When you remember Momoa’s canned water line was featured right in the middle of the whole apology cycle, the “who started it” question gets messy fast.
If you were wondering, this was also a product placement moment—Momoa's canned water line, Mananalu, was featured.
Was it all a publicity stunt or a misunderstanding? We will let you decide.
It is certain that there was no bad intention here. They are both nice guys who stay far away from scandals.
Now everyone’s wondering if this was a genuine plastic crusade or just the most dramatic product placement ever.
