Landlord Sends A Check For $2,500 To His Former Tenant After Selling The House

Hearing the word “landlord” doesn’t evoke the kindest feelings in many of us. They are the people and companies who take a significant portion of our money each month, so it is not hard to understand.

Many of us never get to know our landlords, as everything goes through real estate agencies and business offices with leasing managers. That makes it even easier for us to dislike them.

But the truth is that they are just regular people with the same problems and fears, and we would probably have liked them and hung out with them if we ever met. Chris Robarge had one of those great landlords.

His former landlord deserves praise for his moral values and integrity. Chris Robarge, from Worcester, Massachusetts, recently shared an interesting story.

He was completely surprised when his former landlord got in touch with him, asking for his address. Then, after some time, he received a check for $2,500.

His former landlord called it his share of the profits made from selling the house. In fact, the landlord sent checks to all of his former tenants.

That house was the first place Chris called home after his divorce and had helped him a lot in moving on with his life. Check out his story below:

We would like to point out that the whole point here is not about kindness but principles. It is quite possible that the landlord in question is not a kind and friendly person at all.

But he is a man of principles. And his most important principle is that we shouldn’t take advantage of other people. And that’s what counts the most. Do to others what you wish they would do to you.
