Volkswagen Camper Recreated In Full Size Using 400,000 LEGO Pieces

Certified LEGO model makers built a full-size Volkswagen Camper using 400,000 LEGO pieces.

If you love classic Volkswagen vans, this LEGO build is hard to ignore. A full-size Type 2 Camper, recreated in bricks, turns a familiar retro icon into something that feels both playful and surprisingly impressive.

The project was built by certified LEGO model makers Rene Hoffmeister and Pascal Lenhard, who used 3D modeling to plan the structure and calculate the brick count. The camper sits on a steel frame, includes a detailed interior, and was designed to hold the weight of two adults, which makes the finished model even more remarkable.
