Man Accused His Date of Being "Rude and Cheap" Because She Was in the Bathroom When the Check Arrived
"This is why dating is miserable."
A woman recently took to TikTok to vent her frustration after a man treated her poorly following their date. The man essentially ghosted her and then returned to accuse her of being "rude and cheap."
Oh, he sounds charming, doesn't he? In the video, the woman (named Nik) explained that she met the man via a dating app.
Nik liked the man at first, and everything seemed to be going well. The pair met up and enjoyed a lovely date—they spent six hours together!
Nik and her date had dinner, drinks, and ice cream (which Nik paid for). They enjoyed each other's company, so they moved on to another restaurant where they continued to chat and have some more drinks.
Afterward, the man texted Nik to say he really wanted to see her again. So, they decided to try to schedule another date.
But then he ghosted her. When he finally reappeared in Nik's messages, he told her he wasn't impressed with how she had "excused herself" when the check came during their date.
Nik shared their conversation on her TikTok with the caption, "This is why dating is miserable." Of course, the video went viral, and people had plenty to say about it.

What's your opinion on this one? Do you think Nik was wrong for not offering to pay for dinner and drinks in the first place?
Or was her date just a total jerk for ghosting her and then bringing it up in the way that he did? After all, he seemed completely happy directly afterward.
