Man Faces Fear of Heights at Work and Ends Up Having to Be Rescued
One man decided to just fake it 'til he makes it with his fear of heights at work until it no longer worked for him.
The world has many things in it that are indeed scary, and every single one of us has something to fear. It's that something we'd rather do anything in the world not to see, do, or experience.
When people tell you that there will come a day when you have to face your fears, know that this is utter nonsense. You don't really have to hold a snake, go to the very depths of the ocean, or surround yourself with walls with small circles if you don't have to.
It's not some ride-or-die situation, and you're not in a spy movie, honey. Sometimes, though, other people do have to face their fears out of necessity.
Some have to do it for the sake of their own peace of mind, while others have to do it for their jobs. One of those people is Reddit user dark_wolf1994.
He has an extreme fear of heights, but guess what? His job involves a lot of going up to heights.
It's not like he chose it, likes it, or is purposely doing it, but since it's what has been tasked to him, he's been faking it 'til he makes it. One time, though, that tactic completely fails him.

The poor guy certainly had to face his fear many times just to earn that money. On Reddit, many people sympathized with him.
People will say a lot of things just to get the job or to do the job. In reality, though, many of them can be terrified.

A lot of us wouldn't even have the courage to face our fears, even if work required it, but this guy did more than that. He conquered them every day.
He should be proud of himself for being able to go that far every day, and those people should have definitely been a little bit more concerned. For his sake, though, maybe it's better to stay on the ground more.
