Artist Creates Masterpieces That One Could Not Even Imagine by Crossover of the Marvel and Hanna-Barbera Universes
MJ Hiblen experimented with combining these two seemingly unrelated realms and produced some incredibly unexpected results.
Some mashups work because they feel obvious, and this Marvel and Hanna-Barbera crossover is one of them. Artist MJ Hiblen, based in Norwich, United Kingdom, has turned two very different pop culture worlds into a playful series of illustrations that feel both nostalgic and fresh.
His spare-time project reimagines familiar characters as Marvel heroes and villains, and the results are often funny, surprising, and oddly convincing. Alongside the lighter pieces, he also creates artwork that reflects the reality of the virus and the strain it has placed on people everywhere.
That mix of humor and heavier themes is what makes the collection stand out. The character swaps are the kind you notice once and then keep looking at again.
