Werewolf by Night fans just got the sequel update they wanted from Marvel producer Brad Winderbaum

Brad Winderbaum says he wants Werewolf by Night Part Two, but Disney has not announced a greenlight or release date.

Marvel fans who have spent years asking for more Werewolf by Night finally got a notable signal from inside the studio. Producer Brad Winderbaum says a follow-up is one of the Marvel projects he most wants to make, even though Disney has not officially approved it.

Brad Winderbaum publicly backs a Werewolf by Night follow-up

Winderbaum, who is also attached to the Disney+ series VisionQuest, said he wants to return to Werewolf by Night for either a second season or a Part Two. He also made clear that any next step depends on Disney giving the go-ahead, and said projects still have to enter development and find their footing.

For fans of Marvel’s monster side, that is the real update. There is still no official sequel announcement, but one of Marvel Studios’ key producers is now openly pushing for it.

Winderbaum tied that interest to his long-running enthusiasm for Marvel’s shorter-form side projects. He pointed to his work on earlier one-shots including Item 47, the first Agent Carter one-shot, and All Hail the King. In his view, one-shots and Special Presentations serve a similar purpose by letting Marvel explore stranger, less central corners of its universe.

That matters because Werewolf by Night has remained one of the more warmly received post-Endgame Marvel experiments. Released in 2022, it was the first Marvel Special Presentation and the first MCU project built around horror. It was also the directorial debut of Oscar-winning composer Michael Giacchino.

The format itself has had only limited use since then. After Werewolf by Night, Marvel released The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special and The Punisher: One Last Kill. According to Winderbaum’s comments, the Special Presentation model is still something he believes in, which makes his interest in another Werewolf by Night notable beyond a single title.

There have been rumors that Marvel plans to do more with the Special Presentation label, and that Werewolf by Night 2 could be part of that group, but nothing has been formally confirmed. So for now, what changed is simple: a Marvel producer has gone on the record saying he wants more Werewolf by Night. What has not changed is the official status. There is no greenlight, no announced production start, and no release window yet.

Until that changes, Werewolf by Night is available to stream on Disney+.
