Werewolf by Night Is Leaving Disney+ for a One-Night Halloween Concert With Michael Giacchino

Marvel’s black-and-white Disney+ special is getting a very different kind of Halloween showing this year. Michael Giacchino is taking Werewolf by Night to Walt Disney Concert Hall for a single-night event with the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

The newly announced program is set for Halloween night in Southern California, and it brings together two Giacchino projects in one concert. Giacchino will host the evening at Walt Disney Concert Hall, with the LA Phil performing music from both works live.

The first half is a preview of Headless, an upcoming musical inspired by The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. That stage project is credited to Giacchino, Elyssa Samsel and Kate Anderson.

The second half shifts to Marvel. Werewolf by Night will be presented in a live-to-picture format, meaning the 2022 Disney+ special will play on a large screen while the orchestra performs its score in the hall. Giacchino, who directed the special as well as composed music for the event, is set to lead the festivities as host.

For Disney and Marvel fans, the practical change is simple: if you want to experience Werewolf by Night this way, Halloween night is the date, and Walt Disney Concert Hall is the place. The event is described as a one-night-only performance.

Anyone who cannot attend still has the streaming option. Werewolf by Night remains available on Disney+ in its original black-and-white version, and Disney+ also carries Werewolf by Night in Color.

Tickets for the concert are available now.
