Guy Hilariously Ranks Marvel Movies According to How Many Trains Appeared in Them
Take a look at the train scale.
Marvel fans love ranking the MCU, but one Tumblr user found a far stranger way to sort the franchise. Instead of story, spectacle, or box office numbers, they looked for something almost nobody would think to count: trains.
The post, shared by tilt-shift-blur, rates Marvel movies on a scale from zero to ten based on how many trains appear in each film. That means familiar titles suddenly get judged by rail traffic, and the results are as ridiculous as they sound.
Scroll down for the full train-powered ranking, because this one gets funnier the longer you look at it.
A person from Tumblr posted their ranking of Marvel movies based on how many trains appeared in each film.
MARVELFor a movie literally named Iron Man, there were no trains sighted, so the user had to give it a 0/10 for the first film, and -100/10 (mainly because of Elon Musk's cameo). The Incredible Hulk referenced a subway—which kind of counts—so they gave it a 1 out of 10.
Thor received a 0/10 because there are no trains in space. Oops!
tilt-shift-blurCaptain America: The First Avenger earned a 7 out of 10 for its "cool train heist scene." The Avengers, on the other hand, received a 3 out of 10 for Captain America telling the police to help people get into the subway.
The third Iron Man movie scored 0 points again—no trains. But ooh, Thor: The Dark World received a dazzling 10 out of 10 because he actually rode a train!

See that?
MARVEL
Captain America: The Winter Soldier and both Guardians of the Galaxy movies received a score of zero. Age of Ultron got a 6, while Ant-Man achieved a whopping 9 out of 10!
Civil War received a 1 out of 10, though, because no trains were found.

Doctor Strange scored a 6 out of 10, while Spider-Man: Homecoming hit the jackpot with a 10/10. Thor: Ragnarok, charming as it was, received a 0/10 because there really are no trains in space.
Black Panther earned a 7/10. This should have gone higher, though!

A Thomas Cameo.
MARVEL
Infinity War also received a 6 out of 10, but that movie definitely deserved better. The sequel to Ant-Man scored zero.
Next up, space finally got some trains this time, so Captain Marvel received an 11 out of 10! Endgame, on the other hand, scored zero, despite its iconic status.

Thor on a train.
MARVEL
That is a very specific way to judge a superhero movie.
That same “who’s making the call” tension shows up in a survey splitting Americans over Trump’s airstrikes in Iran.
It's definitely a refreshing take on ranking these movies.
