Jack Skellington and Sally are still one of the toughest character meets at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, with waits that can reach nearly three hours. But one tested workaround at Magic Kingdom points to a much faster window for guests willing to miss the fireworks.

A different strategy for one of the party’s longest waits

At Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in 2026, Jack Skellington and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas remain a major draw. Their posted wait has been reported at close to three hours during the event.

A party-night test suggests there can be a much easier time to meet them. About five minutes before Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular fireworks began, the route to Town Square Theater led to a very short wait for Jack and Sally. In that same visit, Mickey and Minnie were also meeting with a low wait, and both couples were visited in less than 20 minutes total.

For guests deciding how to spend their party time, that is the key tradeoff. If seeing the fireworks is not a priority, heading to Town Square Theater right before the nighttime spectacular may be a useful way to fit in two popular meet-and-greets without devoting a huge chunk of the party to lines.

What party guests should know before they go

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party officially starts at 7 p.m., but party guests are allowed into Magic Kingdom as early as 4 p.m. Guests trying to stay ahead of crowds are advised to line up as early as 3 p.m.

That early-entry approach can still help with in-demand characters, because some meet-and-greets begin before the party’s official start time. Jack and Sally are among those early options, along with Pooh and his friends.

The fireworks-window tip does not replace early entry for everyone, but it offers another option for 2026 party guests, especially those who would rather prioritize character greetings over Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular.

Ticket pricing varies by date, with lower-priced nights in August and September, while October is the most expensive and most crowded month.
