Mom Makes A Comic To Speak Out About Her And Her Husband's POV On Seeing The Last Peach In Their Fruit Bowl, Ends Up Being Memefied By The Twitter Community
Well, anything can be a meme these days.
One tiny piece of fruit was enough to set off a whole internet pile-on. A comic about the last peach in a fruit bowl turned into a fresh round of jokes, criticism, and meme edits after it spread across Twitter.
The artist behind the strip, Mary Catherine Starr of @momlife comics, showed her and her husband reacting differently to the same peach, and plenty of people had thoughts about it. What started as a simple domestic joke quickly became a bigger argument about marriage, communication, and who gets to be annoyed online.
By the time Twitter got involved, the peach was no longer just a peach. Read on.
1. Never thought of that until now.
The memes will definitely show how differently a wife and a husband think. But this does not mean that these differences cannot be discussed by couples to meet halfway.
"Oh look, the last ripe peach! I'll save it for the kids; they love peaches so much," the wife's point of view said."Oh look, the last ripe peach! I'll use it as a special treat in my daily smoothie," the husband's point of view stated. That simple setup was enough to get people talking.
2. “New fave web comic”
In another version, the wife's point of view remains the same while the husband's perspective changes. "Oh, f**k. This is a test," the husband thought while looking at the last ripe peach.
3. The caption is hilarious: "Divorcing my husband because he has the audacity to eat the food in our house"
4. “Eeeeeeee!”
This Twitter user says the comic hit a nerve.
5. Just tell your partner!
This Twitter user retweeted, "This cartoon is driving me insane. If you are saving the peach for something, tell your partner that!"6. “My wife, she’s - boring.”
7. The husband's POV looks like a research text. LOL
Then the memes started getting even more ridiculous.
This is similar to the AITA where someone refused to share their meal planning spreadsheet with their partner.
8. This Twitter user is modifying the memes.
"Currently redoing all of the @momlife_comics with the mom as a crying wojak and the dad as a gigachad. Will post them in this as I finish them," posted by @852derek852.9. They don’t know.
10. Nooooo!
It is understandable how moms can feel frustrated and complain about something, considering how hard their role is. However, it is also important to note that problems between couples should be discussed privately first instead of being posted on the Internet, which is becoming the norm these days.
The peach drama did not stay serious for long.
