Woman Goes Viral For Calling Out DoorDash On Their Refund And Compensation Policy

If you're anything like us, then you love to DoorDash your favorite meal, but let's see if you still support them after reading this.

If you don't know what DoorDash is, even though you probably do, it's a meal delivery service that partners with many different food establishments to deliver your orders. It's a third-party company that hires at-home workers to pick up and deliver orders to paying customers.

Now, typically, this is a really convenient service and a great way to have almost anything delivered to your door. However, like everything, there can be problems with this service, such as wrong orders, deliveries to the wrong place, or other delivery errors. With that said, it's normal for companies to refund or compensate for orders that have been lost, misdelivered, or otherwise mishandled.

It seems that DoorDash usually has no problem helping customers when something like this happens, but when this woman tried to get compensation for her misdelivered order, she was shocked by the company's response.

Now, we know that there are rules, but ultimately, we don't feel like she's reached her limit in this case, which is exactly why we wanted to cover this story today. So if you want to hear more about what she and DoorDash had to say regarding her viral video, then keep on reading.

She goes on to explain the situation of how she tried to get compensation for her misdelivered order, but DoorDash quickly shut it down, telling her that she'd received refunds twice prior. According to her, these refunds were for $1 and $4.

She was understandably upset about this because not only did she not receive her food, but she also didn't get any sort of refund or compensation for the messed-up delivery. She explains that even in the photo of her order, the address is clearly wrong.

Here is more of what she had to say:

“They said no because they’ve compensated me in the past, so I am no longer entitled to extra compensation,” she claims.

“I’m just trying to figure out the business model around ‘if we don’t give you the things you paid for enough times, we just don’t have to give you a refund for the things you don’t have.’ Is that legal?”
