Deborah Ann Woll Sees Karen Page Beyond 'Daredevil: Born Again' After Marvel Sets Season 3 as the End
Marvel says Daredevil: Born Again will end with Season 3 in 2027, and Deborah Ann Woll says the decision was not a surprise.
Marvel has put an end point on Daredevil: Born Again, and one of the franchise's most familiar faces is already looking past the series itself. Deborah Ann Woll, who plays Karen Page, says the news did not catch her off guard and made clear she does not see the character's life stopping with the show.
What changed for Daredevil on Disney+
Daredevil: Born Again will finish with its third season, which is set to premiere on Disney+ in 2027. Marvel has confirmed the Disney+ run is ending there, a notable turn for a series that had once seemed to be lined up for a longer, potentially annual rollout.
The change also includes a major behind the scenes exit. Showrunner Dario Scardapane's contract was not renewed. His departure came about two months after Season 3 finished filming, while post-production was still in progress. Marvel has not said who will handle the remaining work.
For fans wondering whether this closes the door on the wider cast of Hell's Kitchen, Marvel has not announced that any of the show's characters are being retired from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Why Karen Page's response stands out
Woll addressed the cancellation while promoting her horror film The Cycle (2026), and said she was not "super surprising" by the decision. She added that, in her view, Karen Page remains a complete person whose life continues, with the character still committed to fighting injustice whether that story is shown on screen or not.
That outlook fits Karen's place in this corner of Marvel. Woll first played her in Netflix's Daredevil in 2015, then carried the role into the Disney+ revival. The reworked version of Born Again also restored several familiar faces from the earlier era. Woll returned as Karen, Elden Henson came back as Foggy Nelson, Jon Bernthal's Frank Castle was brought back after the actor raised concerns about the character's original portrayal, and Ayelet Zurer returned as Vanessa Fisk after first being recast.
Scardapane had been central to reshaping the series. Born Again was initially ordered as an 18 episode project with Matt Corman and Chris Ord as head writers, and early plans reportedly leaned more procedural than a direct continuation of the Netflix storyline. After Marvel reassessed the project during the 2023 Hollywood strikes, Corman and Ord exited. Scardapane joined with directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, and the team rewrote large parts of the story, shot a new pilot and additional episodes, and pushed the show closer to the tone of the original series.
Season 1 of the revised version debuted in 2025, reuniting Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock with Vincent D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk, and Season 2 followed in 2026. Season 3 has already finished filming, and it is expected to bring a final clash between Daredevil and Kingpin, even as the characters remain available for other Marvel projects.
