People Were Asked About Their Worst Experience With Helicopter Parents And Holy Smokes- They Delivered
These parents hover so much that there's no room for error, and yet that itself is usually the error.
If they could wrap their kids in bubble wrap and make them stay home forever, they would. But that's not as good of an idea as they think it is.
We all have that one friend who couldn’t go out with the group unless he asked for permission one week in advance or someone did it for him. In the events that he was allowed to come along, he had to take pictures of everything and answer calls before the first ring even stopped.
If you don’t know anyone like that in your group of friends, then it might be you who has helicopter parents. Helicopter parents is the term they use lovingly for parents who are very controlling and hover over every life decision their kids make.
They usually believe their kids are better than other kids and ensure that everyone knows it, from their teachers to hiring managers. Helicopter parents are also uber-protective, and if they can watch every move of their kids, they will.
When parents don’t grow out of being like this, their kids become very dependent on them, or they spend their adult lives trying to run away from them. It’s also very sad when they grow up not having enough skills to handle the trials of life.
Helicopter parents were the topic of a r/AskReddit post. OP asked Redditors about the worst case of helicopter parents that they’ve experienced, and you’d doubt if you could survive the situations of these people.
Here is the r/AskReddit question
mcw1012It can’t get any more helicopter-y than this
