Deluded Couple Gets Roasted After Launching GoFundMe Campaign To Raise Money For Their "Dream Honeymoon"
People are literally dying, but this couple thinks that the world owes them a luxurious honeymoon.
Some people really know how to turn a bad look into a worse one. In the middle of a pandemic, when money was tight for plenty of families, one couple decided to ask strangers to help fund a wedding and a dream honeymoon to far-off destinations like Dubai, Peru, and Japan.
The request quickly drew attention because the couple said they were dealing with chronic illnesses and medical costs, yet still framed the trip as something they hoped others would help make happen. That mix of hardship, luxury, and public fundraising did not sit well with everyone.

"Help me fund my wedding day during the Covid-19 crisis"
We are planning our wedding to take place in September. Unfortunately, we are both fighting chronic illnesses and trying to stay afloat during the Covid-19 crisis. This wedding is supposed to be a blend of traditional and modern elements, but our dreams have been narrowed down because of our chronic illnesses and medical costs. We also have dreams for our honeymoon, with locations like Peru, Dubai, Turkey, Egypt, and Japan. If we could visit just one of those locations, we would consider that our dream fulfilled. You could make a difference in helping us realize that dream. If you can afford to donate anything, it would mean the world to us! Since I am a musician at heart, I can offer some of my latest tracks in return for your support.
That pitch did not land the way they hoped. Here's the original Reddit post:
