Wedding Photographer Reveals Online The Things Men Have Done To Her While Carrying Out Her Work
Men should know when to stop.
A wedding photographer in Brighton has gone online with a story that hit a nerve far beyond her own work. Kim Williams says too many men have crossed personal boundaries while she was simply trying to do her job, and the pattern has left her frustrated, uneasy, and very public about it.
Her complaints are not about awkward small talk. She says some men have touched her without consent, asked for her number, and acted like her male colleagues were the ones in charge. As her post spread, other photographers started sharing similar experiences from weddings, dance floors, and busy events.
Now her story is drawing attention for all the wrong reasons, and the reactions keep piling up.
The 30-year-old Kim Williams is a wedding photographer from the United Kingdom, and she shoots 45–50 ceremonies every year.
kimwilliamsweddings.comWilliams says it’s not the women’s problem to tackle because we tell them to stop every time, so the men doing the bugging should listen to the ladies, and there would be no harassment.
Williams made an Instagram post, explaining every one of the ways in which men have gone too far in hitting on her while she was just doing her job.

One of Kim's biggest supporters is Sam Docker, who has been in the business for nine years and has shot weddings all around the UK, Europe, and internationally. Docker says that this issue isn't minor and that men need to step up.
This is similar to the bride who banned her brother after his wild behavior, and her family pushed back.
