Man Gets Threatened By Ex-Wife For Donating Racist Son's Money To Charity

Racism is when someone is harassed, mistreated, humiliated, intimidated, or excluded due to their race, ethnicity, or cultural heritage. Racism extends beyond interpersonal interactions.

Additionally, it is the system that divides people into "races" and grants them varying degrees of opportunity, wealth, and power based on their race. Racism also occurs when the idea that some "races" are superior to others is combined with the misuse of authority to discriminate against individuals.

"Race" is not a biological concept. However, it's a potent concept that influences people's actions and our society in both significant and minor ways.

For the OP, it was his son who chose to be a racist, and he wasn't having it. The thing is, the OP and his ex-wife got divorced years ago, and they have a 15-year-old son.

Both have moved on with different partners, but they still co-parent peacefully. In fact, the OP and his girlfriend visited his ex and her new husband because he wanted his son's birthday to be nice for him with both of his parents present.

OP's son got a lot of money from his birthday, but later on, OP saw a conversation on his phone, and it was very vulgar. It was full of racist comments coming from his son and his best friend.

The OP decided his son needed to be punished, and you can read all about it as you scroll down.

Racism is a challenging subject, and when it comes up, some individuals immediately shut down. Others are more forthcoming until it is suggested that they might be involved in racist systems.

Though some Redditors applauded the OP, others said that he could have done better, like educating his son about his racist views. His son's views are his, and he has reasons.

Trying to understand the how and why of his thoughts is far better. Maybe OP could have cleared things out if he had listened first.

In the end, it was declared that the story doesn't have enough info, and that is where we draw the curtains.
