Confused Twin Accused Of Forcing Her Brother's Pregnant GF To Get An Abortion After Telling Them They Can't Live With Her If They Keep The Baby
All of OP's previous kindness was quickly forgotten when she set strict boundaries
Our OP (original poster) is 24 years old and has been living independently for a couple of years now. She moved out because her parents weren't the best people in the world and were cruel to her while she was growing up.
OP has a twin brother, Zack, who hasn't moved out of their miserable home. About eight months ago, Zack asked OP if he and his girlfriend, Kat, could live with her.
Zack can't afford to secure his own place since he's still in school (Zack started school later than OP). Given that he's not working full-time, OP understood Zack's financial situation.
She also knew how horrible her parents' home is, so OP readily said yes. She knows that Zack and Kat are good people who are just in a bind, so she did not hesitate to welcome them into her home.
OP told the couple to chip in whenever they can and that they are responsible for their own food. They've been getting along splendidly, and the couple has been nothing but respectful of OP and her space.
Her apartment is on the smaller side, but since Zack is mostly at school and Kat is at work for the better part of the day, OP didn't mind having two extra people. The couple plans to move out when Zack graduates (2023), which is fine for OP.
Then, a week ago, they revealed that Kat is pregnant. OP was ecstatic for the young couple and told them how wonderful it is.
The problem is that OP doesn't know how a baby would fit into their current living situation. She has insomnia, and when she does manage to sleep, she's very sensitive to noises, and babies make a lot of noise.
She asked Zack and Kat what they planned to do regarding the pregnancy, and they said they were going to keep it. Kat doesn't believe in abortion, and they think they would make great parents.
OP said, "Oh well, congratulations!" and that was the end of their discussion that night. The morning after, she asked them where they were planning to live when the baby arrives.
Zack and Kat told her they were hoping to stay at OP's house. OP explained that she can't handle having a newborn in her small apartment, given her situation.
The couple became visibly upset and accused OP of "forcing them to abort their baby." Now, OP doesn't know what to do, and she doesn't know whether what she did was wrong or not.

Zack and Kat were extremely lucky that OP took them in in the first place. It was not her responsibility to provide them with a home, but she cared for them.
However, that all changed when a baby was brought into the equation. They crossed a line, and OP shouldn't budge just because of their baseless accusation.
It's now up to them to grow up and find a different place to raise their unborn child. They're asking too much from OP, and at some point, enough is enough.
