Man Refuses to Convey His Family Friend’s Sons to the Airport Because They Removed Their Seat Belts, and a Hot Drama Ensues
Keep wearing your seat belt. It is a simple thing to do: you just cross it over, and that's all.
Keep wearing your seat belt. It is a simple thing to do: you just cross it over, and that's all.
However, certain individuals actually struggle with doing what's been requested of them, and in this situation, it was a 21-year-old and a 24-year-old who were behaving like teenagers. On the r/ChoosingBeggars subreddit, a redditor going by the name Funsy_bob shared a long and engrossing story about how he chose to help a friend drive their children to the airport.
The redditor made a special effort to do this right before the beginning of the workday, as the airport was on the route to his workplace. Nevertheless, things went awry when the passengers refused to wear their seat belts.
Oh well, the redditor wasn't going to tolerate this, as he wouldn’t sit back and watch them risk the safety of everyone and their own license just to save those two the minor inconvenience of wearing a simple seat belt. Drama ensued as calls were made, and in the end, the two passengers missed their important flight, all thanks to their love of argument and stubbornness.
I’ll pull the brakes here and allow you to read the full story of how everything happened.
Put on Your Seat Belts!
Flickr (not the actual photo)In order to protect everyone's lives, their licenses, and their money, it’s reasonable for the redditor to not move until the two travelers wear their seat belts. They did not and jumped out of the vehicle, hoping to make it to the airport terminal.
One issue arose, though—one of them forgot a bag in the redditor's car, and the redditor wasn't willing to drive all the way back for the bag since he was working. Finally, one of them showed up in a taxi to retrieve the bag, but they had all burned through so much time that they failed to catch their plane.
The children's father then called the redditor and attempted to place the blame on him when it was evident that it was his unruly children who were to blame.

There are rules in place to protect you and others, so don’t try to bend them with the excuse of being late. Because if that were the case, everyone would speed all over the place, causing utter confusion.
Most of the redditors agreed with this perspective, as they believed the author made the best decision. Here's what some of them had to say:

Redditors faulted the two travelers for misbehaving and being stubborn, as most of them couldn’t fathom why adults would act that way. In the meantime, let us know what you think about the two young adults who refused to wear their seat belts.
Have you ever been in a situation like this, and what is the best way to persuade someone to simply buckle their darn seat belts?
