Working in retail is a common first job for many people. It doesn't require a degree or any special qualifications, making it ideal for students or those who want to work part-time while attending college.

However, it is not an easy task. It's physically and emotionally taxing, and it necessitates a lot of patience and strong communication skills, but the pay doesn't always reflect that.
