Artist Crafts Comics Filled With Funny Jokes and Unexpected Twists, and Here Are 30 of the Best Ones

Just what you need to relax.

Some comics start with a joke, then quietly end. These ones do the opposite. The artist builds punchlines like tiny traps, then snaps the scene sideways with an unexpected twist, whether it’s “Gotcha!” or a perfectly timed “That Was a Close One.”

The best part is how the humor keeps changing lanes. One panel is about something normal, like “Check Your Emails” or “Special Tables,” and the next it’s “Toddler Lawyer,” a full miniseries vibe packed into a single page. Even the repeated “Why. Why. Why. Why….” escalates like a toddler argument that refuses to die, while “Robots,” “Olympics,” and “Fake Mustache Convention” keep swapping the rules mid-game.

After the “Contacts” panel sets the tone, the jokes start moving fast, like the artist is daring you to keep up.

And if you like unexpected punchlines, these 70 photo glitches that make your brain need a restart hit the same way.

Then “Who Do You Work For?” flips the power dynamic, and suddenly every innocent line feels like it has a hidden boss behind it.

When asked if they had any upcoming series of works that readers should be looking forward to, the artist replied:

"I don’t have anything in particular planned for the future. However, I recently released a book of my comics, which was a very exciting project. The book contains comics from the past three years, and it is available on The artist then shared some facts about their favorite comic to date.

"From the past year, my favorite is
the one about two women discussing a guy who thinks he’s a smoke detector. I don’t know if there’s any particular reason why; I just find it really, really funny. It’s the sort of comic that really makes you wonder, 'Where is this going?' and then the punchline is so timid and robotic but delivered so emotionally."

“Toddler Lawyer” turns the whole thing into a longer thread, where the absurd premise keeps escalating instead of wrapping up.

By the time “Why? ” and “That Was a Close One” show up, you realize the real twist is how often the punchline lands, then immediately gets outsmarted.

What styles does the artist like:

"As for particular styles I’d like to dabble in, I think more film noir or anything with extreme lighting would be neat. I also want to take inspiration from television cinematography. Cameras can do things that panels can’t do, like pan or zoom, but I want to try and find similar methods to tell a story creatively in comics. And as for writing style, I want to try and have some longer threads based around a single topic. The most recent miniseries of this nature is 'Toddler Lawyer'."

Nobody leaves these comics feeling certain, and that’s exactly the point.
