These truly hit so close to home for me. I grew up in a town with a population of less than 600. Once I graduated high school, I moved 6 miles to a village of fewer than 350. I'm so into small towns that once I had children, I opted to move to the country. Pure isolation from the rest of civilization! I'm all about that life.
Cities, by definition, have a minimum of 500 people.
Villages have a minimum of 100 people.
Towns smaller than a village? Those are hamlets. They're considered a road with houses on both sides and a place of worship somewhere along said road.

One single person inhabits this village. It is also the smallest incorporated town in the U.S. The population was 2 until the husband of the couple died in 2004.
