Sonic’s next Wacky Pack may turn kids meals into a 1990s toy flashback with Furby and Super Soaker
Sonic lists a Hasbro Retro Wacky Pack set with Furby, Transformers and Super Soaker as coming soon for participating locations.
Sonic is teeing up a Wacky Pack release that looks built for parents who grew up on 1990s and 2000s toy crazes. The chain’s kids meal site now shows a Hasbro Retro assortment as coming soon, with Furby, Transformers, Nerf Super Soaker, Littlest Pet Shop and My Little Pony all in the lineup.
A 10 toy Hasbro throwback is listed for kids meals
The upcoming Wacky Pack set is presented as a 10 toy collection, with two items tied to each brand. The artwork shows Optimus Prime and Megatron styled like compact versions of their original 1980s designs, along with two Furbies, one yellow with blue ears and one pink with green ears.
The Super Soaker pair appears as two small water blasters in yellow and green, and pink and purple. Littlest Pet Shop is represented by a cat on a pink spoon and a puppy on a blue spoon. My Little Pony rounds out the set with a lavender pony and an orange pony marked with apples.
For nostalgia minded fans, Furby is the eye catcher. The toy first went on sale on Oct. 2, 1998, and became one of that holiday season’s most sought after gifts. Sonic has also used Transformers before. Its 2023 Wacky Pack included Transformers: EarthSpark figures that concealed spoons under removable heads.
The new assortment overlaps with a Hasbro promotion Burger King ran in March, but it is not the same mix. That earlier release covered Furby, My Little Pony, Transformers and Nerf. Sonic’s version adds Littlest Pet Shop and uses Megatron instead of Bumblebee.

When it starts, and what families should know
Sonic has not announced an official start date. The Wacky Pack site only says the Hasbro Retro toys are coming soon, and separate promo art described them as part of this holiday season.
There is one clue suggesting when the switch could happen. The image file name tied to the Hasbro art begins with 2026-11, and Sonic has labeled older promotional images on its site with year and month codes in the same way. That makes November look possible, but it has not been confirmed.
Right now, Sonic is still offering Universal Monsters Wacky Pack toys, which the chain has framed as a Halloween set. When the Hasbro toys do arrive, they will be available at participating Sonic Drive-Ins for a limited run and only while supplies last.
Sonic says Wacky Pack toys are for ages 3 and up. Families ordering for younger children can request a Red Button’s World board book instead. As with other Wacky Packs, each meal comes with one item, and the toy included may vary by order, so collectors may not get a specific character on the first try.
