Protesting takes on a whole new level.
The change was meant to make the campus feel safer, but for many of the students, it felt like one more reminder that nothing about school was normal anymore.
Some of them pushed back in a very public way, filling the see-through bags with tampons and other items to protest both the policy and the larger issue of gun violence. The reaction spread fast, with students, jokes, and plenty of frustration all showing up in the hallways.
