TikTok Family Created A Private, Tiny House Village Where Each Member Has A House Of Their Own

After a hard day, there's no more satisfying feeling than walking inside your lovely home. With a teeny-tiny touch, one lucky family governs an entire kingdom of residences.

The Brink family owns six residences, each barely 160 square feet in size, and they appear to have downsized. It all boils down to having more breathing room in your own home.

"My husband wanted us all in one cabin," Keli said, but she advocated for the kids and "their own private space." Tiny houses also create less waste and require less energy to heat, making living on less both economical and environmentally friendly.

The Brinks began their journey to this tiny home kingdom five years ago when they purchased a 21-acre property in Kentucky for $57,000 and transformed it into a sustainable small house town. The parents' house, two separate houses for Lennox and Brodey, a double bathroom house, a pool house, and a guest house are shared by four family members.

In speaking with Lennox Brinks, the daughter of the tiny house village, she shared her thoughts on this alternative style of living: "It’s amazing, and I love living in a small house. I am so glad my parents decided to move us into this arrangement."

She lived in a regular house for the first 14 years, but now that she has experienced life in a tiny house, she loves it and enjoys staying in a small space.

What are your thoughts on this alternate way of life?

"I think I’m going to have a regular house when I first go out into the world, but maybe when my kids grow up, I would come back to this type of living," says Lennox Brinks.LennoxBrinks

She loves having her own space, both for the privacy it provides and because she can customize it however she wants, which is something she enjoys doing.

Another benefit of having their own house is that when she stays up late or has friends over for a sleepover, she doesn’t have to worry about keeping the volume low, and they can all enjoy themselves as much as they want.

The kitchen is well-equipped, with plenty of space for culinary appliances on the shelves.

Having her own house has made her feel really confident and independent, which has also helped her fit into the college environment.

In a little house, you wouldn't expect to find a full-sized bathtub, but here it is.

The most significant benefit is that they can now live more sustainably in this system.

The kids go outdoors and use one of these two public restrooms.

They consume substantially less energy since there is no need for heating or air conditioning while a house is unoccupied.

Since they moved in, their power costs have dropped dramatically. They also have a garden and grow much of the food they eat, as well as composting virtually all of their food, recycling, and producing far less waste.

The mother considers this to be the most significant component of the arrangement, and it was one of the reasons they chose to live with less.
