True crime has a way of pulling viewers in, especially when a familiar actor disappears into the role of a real-life figure. The genre may feel newer than it is, but streaming and podcasts have made it impossible to miss.
From The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story to The Act and Law & Order: True Crime, these projects asked actors to do more than perform, they had to become people tied to some of the most notorious cases in recent memory.
