The newly announced itinerary for Carnaval de Luz Presents: The Greatest Show on Earth World Tour 2027 currently includes six concerts. It opens with two nights in Mexico City on Feb. 23 and Feb. 26, then continues to São Paulo for shows on March 10 and March 12, before heading to Buenos Aires on March 23 and March 25.

For fans in Mexico, Brazil and Argentina, these are the first confirmed stops of U2's 2027 return to stadiums. The band also said more dates are still on the way for Europe and North America, including shows in Ireland.

Carnaval De Luz is billed as the band's 16th album. It will be their first album of new original material since 2017's Songs of Experience. So far, U2 has released three songs from it: "Street of Dreams," "Silencio" and "The Greatest Show on Earth."

The group has not been quiet in the gap between studio albums. Earlier this year, it released the EPs Days of Ash in February and Easter Lily in April. Those followed Songs of Surrender in 2023, which reworked songs from across the band's catalog, and 2024's How to Re-Assemble an Atomic Bomb, a set of leftover tracks connected to the 2004 album How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb.

In announcing the tour, U2 described the title "The Greatest Show on Earth" as a challenge to itself, with the aim of making each concert feel like the best night of someone's life. The band also pointed to a show built around color, guitar, bass, drums and songs people can hold onto.

The venues named so far are Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City, Estádio MorumBIS in São Paulo and Estadio River Plate in Buenos Aires. More dates have yet to be announced.
