It was a messy situation from start to finish.
In case you were wondering, this type of toxic wedding culture is absolutely a real thing. People place unreasonably high expectations on their wedding days, which tends to take the joy out of it.
When people start to become materialistic or focus on others, like Alena's friend did, the day becomes less about the couple. It's very sad when you think about it.
