This Talented Illustrator Re-Drew Beloved Disney Princesses In Her Unique Style And The Results Are Really Creative
A Hungarian artist, Mimi, has created an impressive and artistically stunning series featuring some of our favorite Disney characters.
Hungarian illustrator Mimi has a knack for turning familiar Disney characters into something fresh, and this colorful series makes that talent easy to see. Her reimagined princesses, heroines, and fan favorites blend anime influence, art nouveau touches, and a playful sense of style that gives each character a new look without losing what makes them recognizable.
The collection started with Mimi's love of drawing Sailor Moon characters in her own style, then expanded into Disney heroines and princesses. That mix of fandom and creativity is exactly what makes the results so fun to scroll through, especially when each design feels both nostalgic and unexpected.
Here are the princesses, heroes, and icons she brought to life.

If it's a popularity contest, we aren't super interested, but it is not without merit to discuss Mulan's position in the "favorites hierarchy" among Disney characters. Take, for example, the live-action film... Data suggests that Disney's Mulan was the most in-demand streamed movie in the world the month it debuted on Disney+.
The animated film from 1998 earned nominations from the Golden Globes and Academy Awards and "was well received by critics and the public who praised the animation, plot, characters (particularly the eponymous character), and musical score, grossing over $304 million."

The Princess and the Frog made space for quite a few "firsts" in the magical world of Disney, including being the first Disney princess to hold down a job (two, actually). Her movie was the first hand-drawn film in five years, as Disney had mostly moved on to CGI animation.
It also took four years to make the movie, and Tiana's name was almost Maddy. She is also the oldest Disney princess (and honestly, not enough people realize or think about how young most of the Disney princesses are!).

The original story of Alice is a book called Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, written by Lewis Carroll and published in November of 1865. It has been translated into no less than 97 languages (but possibly as many as 174 languages), and there have been over 100 editions of the book!
Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland is considered one of the absolute best versions of the movie, right alongside Disney's animated telling of the story in 1951.
This has the same wow-factor as the Best-Dressed Stars at Oscars 2026, whose outfits stole attention.

20. Belle, Beauty and the Beast

Disney's 1991 Beauty and the Beast is definitely a fan favorite, but there is still so much about the animated film that's worth celebrating.
It was also the first Disney animated film to have a final and fully developed script before animators started their work on it, and it was the first Disney animated film to cross the $100 million box office mark.
Beauty and the Beast's finished product consisted of "7,000 feet of hand-drawn film, 1,100 painted backgrounds, and 150,000 individually rendered frames," and it took 3.5 years to complete.

We know Disney fans love seeing Disney fan art because we are Disney fans, and we love seeing Disney fan art.
