A backyard cookout turned into a family headache when one husband decided his guests should pay to show up.

OP said her husband, who comes from a wealthy family and inherited the home they live in, hosted their first post-wedding cookout and invited both sides of the family. OP told him that what he did was horrible, and the fact that he didn't treat his family the same way made things worse. He responded by laughing at OP.

He reminded her that the house was given to him by his family. OP demanded the money back, but he said he wouldn't do that, plus he wouldn't give the cash to her because the house is technically his alone.

OP took the money back anyway. She returned the cash to every member of her family along with the sincerest apologies she could muster.

Her husband found out and flipped out. He said OP behaved disrespectfully by taking the money back and that she overstepped his boundaries.
