We all know there are certain unspoken rules we must follow when it comes to weddings. You know the drill: arrive on time, don't assume you can bring a plus-one without asking, always bring a gift, and never, ever, EVER wear white!
Well, apparently, this mother of the groom didn't get the memo because not only did she wear white to her son's wedding, but she also showed up in an actual wedding dress! It seems that, according to this mother-in-law, wedding etiquette simply doesn't apply to her.
Oh man, can you imagine walking down the aisle and spotting your new mother-in-law in the front row wearing a bridal gown? It's a fair assumption that any bride would be filled with wrath over something like this!
Well, it seems that the internet agrees. When a family member posted a photo of the woman in a "wedding-shaming" Facebook group, people just couldn't deal!
The post went viral! Understandably, people had a lot to say about this mother-in-law's wedding faux pas.
The family member captioned the photo, "You guys… this is my husband's aunt at her son's wedding?! Lady, what are you doing?!" And she's not wrong; I mean, really, lady, what are you doing?
The photo shows the mother-in-law dressed in a white, strapless wedding gown. Could it perhaps be the gown she wore to her own wedding, or did she actually go out and purchase a wedding dress for the occasion?
Either way, it's just not cool, mama! There are even photos of the woman posing with the bridesmaids as if it were her own wedding—what absolute nerve!
