White People Are Asking POC Honest Questions About Life That They've Always Wanted to Know
Did the Alabama Department of Memes know what they were getting into when they opened a Q&A session?
It all started with a humorous post from a funny Facebook page.
An invitation from members of the Black community to members of the White community to the tune of "ask me anything." The entire situation was meant to be lighthearted, insincerely playing off stereotypes and tropes, and even incorporating some humor and jokes to banter back and forth.
There was no invitation to be racist or perpetuate racist stereotypes; it was just a chance for two groups of people to have a good laugh. And you know what? It worked. Everyone laughed and had fun playing the game together. A bridge was built thanks to our good senses of humor!
