Woman Starts Answering Phone Lines After Getting Frustrated At Understaffed Walmart
She's not a Karen. She's caring.
One Walmart shopper did not just notice the long lines, she decided to do something about them. What started as a routine store visit quickly turned into an unexpected act of customer service.
Victoria Villano was with her mother when they saw the store’s phones ringing without enough staff to answer them. Instead of ignoring the problem, Villano’s mother began picking up the calls herself and telling frustrated shoppers that she was also a customer who understood the wait.
That simple decision turned a crowded Walmart moment into a viral feel-good story. Read on.
The Beginning
Tiktoker Victoria Villano and her mother were at a Walmart store when they noticed the phones ringing consistently. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough staff to attend to all the customers.
Instead of merely listening to the phone ring like other people in the store, Victoria's mother began to answer the store's phone calls. She informed callers that she was a customer and understood how frustrating it was to keep calling without any response.
.
That is where the story really starts to stand out.
Offering Help
Although she didn’t have much information to provide to the frustrated customers on the other end of the call, her response was vital in managing the tension. She informed them that there was no staff available to attend to their calls and suggested that calling at a later time would be better.
In addition to this, she offered to assist the calling customers to whatever extent she could. Amazing, if you ask us!
This is also like the mother-in-law shopping addiction fight, where someone refused to bail her out financially.
The Reactions
While this mom was playing her role as an exemplary citizen, her daughter was laughing and recording a video of the incident.
Other people in the store seemed to find the situation amusing as well. However, the calling customers appeared grateful that someone had answered their calls and were surprised that it was a fellow customer just like them.
Victoria's video received many positive comments after she posted it on TikTok. People were amazed that her mother had gone out of her way to help other customers.
Think about it: she was equally frustrated, and it wasn't her job to provide customer service. Who knows what would have happened if this Supermom hadn't been available to save the day?
We believe Walmart should reach out and give her the appreciation she deserves.
What are your thoughts on this story? Have you ever gone out of your way to make strangers happy?
