People Are Sharing Their Horrible Airbnb Experiences After A Woman Shared Hers, And Here Are 30 Of Them
Being a victim of any scam can be horrifying.
Being a victim of any scam can be horrifying. How would you react if someone showed up at your apartment, boldly claiming they rented it on Airbnb?
And you never had any intention of renting it out. Definitely, it would be weird and horrifying.
This is exactly the situation that a doctor at the Stanford Department of Medicine in California might have found herself in if she hadn't discovered her own house listed on Airbnb. Unfortunately, it is one of several Airbnb horror stories that have recently surfaced on Twitter.
When the woman reached out to the scammers, they had the audacity to ask if she wanted to lease out the place where she lives with her family. Surprisingly, bringing the case to Airbnb's customer care unit wasn’t helpful at first.
This proved that Airbnb's customer care service wasn’t up to standard. It also suggests that the managers of Airbnb are unable to monitor what transpires within the platform and points to loopholes that scammers have figured out how to exploit.
She narrated her horror on Twitter while seeking support. It appeared that such incidents are common, as many people responded with similar horror stories.
Hundreds of others have shared their own bizarre Airbnb experiences since the post. Here are just 30 of the worst ones for you to read through.

Wherever there are opportunities and loopholes to make money, whether online or offline, people will want to exploit and profit from them. In fact, some scammers are on the lookout for such opportunities to pounce on, so we ought to be careful of them.
