Artist Shares His True Life Stories Through His Amusing Comics "I Need Floofy Hugs"
Sometimes, you only need a good read and a good laugh.
John Bustillos turns everyday frustration into something funny, soft, and oddly comforting. His comic series, I Need Floofy Hugs, takes real-life moments and stretches them into exaggerated scenes that still feel painfully familiar.
The Filipino artist, now based in Dallas, started the project around 2020 and built it around the ups and downs of anxiety, depression, and the little struggles people rarely say out loud. The result is a collection of comics that mixes humor with a very human need for comfort, connection, and a floofy hug at the end of the day.
