Bert Musketon has turned awkward humor into a street-level art project that is hard to ignore. Based in Belgium, the visual artist built a style around bold, colorful, detailed work, then took it outside and pasted it where people least expect it.
His Awkward Flyers series started during the coronavirus lockdown and quickly became one of his most recognizable side projects. The idea is simple, strange, and very on-brand for Musketon, who loves weird situations and the kind of jokes that make people stop in their tracks.

People notice these flyers as they walk down the street. They actually tear off the little paper from the flyer and begin to follow his page.
The response has been great in general, but sometimes Instagram takes down some of the flyers because they don’t comply with its terms and conditions.
