You Just Might Agree With These 50 People Sharing Their Controversial Boomer Views
"Couples get divorced/break up too easily and for too trivial of reasons"
A 28-year-old woman refused to download an app just to see a restaurant menu, and somehow that tiny demand turned into a full-on culture war. The comments that followed were pure fire, a messy mix of “just let me read the article” and “I want a human, not a chatbot,” all wrapped in that classic boomers-vs-everything energy.
It got even more chaotic when people started piling on with the kind of opinions that sound harmless until you realize they come with rules: no phones in your face while walking, no auto-tune because “they actually played the instruments,” and if it takes one click to subscribe, it better take one click to unsubscribe. Even the food discourse showed up, with one person insisting vegetables don’t need to be deep-fried to be delicious.
Here’s the full story behind why these 50 comments hit so hard.

Right after the app-menu rant, someone jumped in with the “talk to a human” customer service complaint, and suddenly it wasn’t about food anymore.
When the thread veered into “can I just read the article instead of watching the video,” the whole comment section started sounding like it was allergic to convenience.
Then the walking-and-phone rule dropped, and you could practically hear Redditors arguing in real time about who’s “paying attention.”
By the time people compared pre-1995 appliances, no auto-tune music, and one-click unsubscribe, it felt like the family dinner was finally over, but everyone kept talking.
We should recognise that a lot of today's problems, particularly those resulting from entitled children and technology gone wild, are not the fault of baby boomers. In retrospect, boomers' emphasis on independence, allowing children to be children, and maintaining a healthy scepticism towards technology can all be justified.
Put otherwise, the baby boomers were correct! In any case, about a few topics.
Ultimately, every generation—whether positive or negative—contributes in a different way to the fabric of society. This includes baby boomers, and you can leave your thoughts in the comment section.
Nobody agrees, but they all sound convinced they’re right.
