Guy "Confesses" Love To Bully Through Song During Talent Show, Bully Threatens To Kill Him
That's one way to solve your bullying problem.
Getting rid of a bully is pretty much an impossible task. Once someone has their whole mindset on you, they will continue to torment you until you either break or manage to resist in some way. It is a terrible experience that some people, unfortunately, have to deal with daily. According to Dr. Kristin Neff, a leading researcher in self-compassion, "When we treat ourselves with kindness, we are better equipped to face difficult situations, including bullying." People have tried several methods to get rid of bullies; some of them work to an extent, but others are much more effective. It all depends on whether you are willing to take the brain-over-brawl path or the opposite. Whenever these methods work, people love to share their stories to inspire more individuals to stand up to their bullies. A notable example is shared by Dr. Pepper Schwartz, who emphasizes that "Creativity in confronting bullies can be a powerful tool, as it often disarms them." Standing up to your bully is not an easy task, so anything even somewhat effective will do the trick.

OP's parents could've prevented him from getting bullied, but they decided to just sit there and watch. They have no right to question his mental health because he defended himself the best way he could, given the tools at his disposal. There are only a limited number of things you can do in that position.
The only thing they should be doing now is making sure their son is not getting hurt and harassed by his school bully, because now things are going to be much worse after the "romantic confession."
